ECTN Call-up

Remember the net attempts to be a friendly, informative activity welcoming of all hams who would like to participate.
Should it be necessary, feel free to make use of relay stations, for example, when someone is inadvertently transmitting on the repeater output and cannot be heard by the NCS.
Thank you for volunteering to run the ECTN. We hope your experience here will be enjoyable and enriching.

If possible, make a friendly announcement 3 to 5 minutes before the net is scheduled to begin inviting all amateurs to check into ECTN, which will begin in about (_) minutes.
Advise that anyone needing to make a call on the frequency before the net begins should go ahead and do so.

Conduct the net using the format and guidelines below. If needed, feel free to change a word or two to suit your particular style, being certain not to change the context or meaning.

The Eastern CT Traffic Net is part of the ARRL National Traffic System and is a directed net.
Please do not break this net unless you have Emergency or Priority Traffic.

This Net meets every evening at 2100 hours Eastern Time on this repeater.

Our back-up repeater is the W1DX repeater in Salem, CT, on 147.060.
If repeaters become unavailable, the net will convene on 146.450 MHz simplex.
